Meditation -  Mystical and Affirmative

A Journey into the Mind: Meditation and Metaphysics

Meditation, is an ancient practice rooted in spiritual traditions and offers a path to inner peace and spiritual growth. By quieting the mind's endless chatter we can access deeper levels of consciousness and connect with the universal energy that permeates all existence. As Buddha described :  meditation is a pathway to end all suffering.

While the exact origin of the claim that the average person experiences 60,000 thoughts daily remains uncertain, it highlights the relentless nature of our mental activity. This constant mental noise can hinder our ability to focus, empathize, and fully engage with the present moment.

Initially, silencing the mind may seem challenging, as most people struggle to go even a few seconds without a thought intruding. However, with consistent practice, meditation gradually trains the mind to become calmer and more focused.

On this website, you might encounter words like 'God,' 'Universe,' or 'Higher Power.' These are simply different labels pointing to the same underlying concept – the source of creation, the interconnectedness of all things, the divine essence within us all. If any of these terms feel uncomfortable or don't resonate with you, please feel free to substitute them with whatever words align with your own spiritual beliefs. Whether you prefer  'Spirit,' 'Higher Mind,' 'Universal Consciousness,' or something else entirely, the choice is yours.

Ultimately, the words themselves are less important than the intention and energy behind them. What matters most is finding a language that helps you connect with the divine in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you.

Metaphysics: Beyond the Physical

Metaphysics is a branch of philosophy that dives into the fundamental nature of reality, existence, and the world beyond our physical senses. It explores profound questions about being, the universe, time, space, and the mind-matter relationship. Meditation serves as a cornerstone of metaphysical practices, providing insights into the ultimate nature of reality.

Countless profound metaphysical concepts and philosophies have emerged from meditative experiences. From wisdom about life after death and astral dimensions to the very essence of reality itself, meditation has been a catalyst for spiritual exploration and enlightenment. I would like to take time here to acknowledge the late Dr. Leon Paul Masters, the founder of the University of Metaphysics. His teachings in metaphysics and meditation have significantly influenced my own journey. In sharing some of his knowledge on meditation, I hope to inspire others to embark on their own spiritual paths. You can find some of his work in the recommended reading section.

Two Key Types of Meditation

Mystical Meditation (Contact Meditation):

  • Aims to elevate consciousness and connect with the Universal Consciousness, the divine mind within us all.
  • Fosters a deep sense of unity with the Universe or God.

While Jesus didn't explicitly use the term "meditation," his actions and teachings demonstrate a clear understanding of its value. He modeled practices that cultivate inner stillness, connection with the divine, and alignment with God's will. This is mystical meditation.

Affirmative Meditation (Self-Programming or Control Meditation):

  • Involves programming the mind with positive thoughts to improve various aspects of life.
  • Can be used for goal setting, manifesting desires, and enhancing self-belief.

By combining these two forms of meditation, individuals can cultivate both inner awareness and outer success.

If the idea of mystical meditation feels uncomfortable or strange, that's perfectly okay. You can still experience profound transformation and cultivate a happier, less stressful life through Affirmative Meditation.

Affirmative Meditation offers a practical and effective way to improve your well-being by working directly with your subconscious mind.

Through positive affirmations, you can reprogram your inner world, reduce stress, and create a more positive and fulfilling life. It's a gentle yet powerful approach that anyone can embrace, regardless of their spiritual beliefs or experiences.
